Bellys Button asked me to participate in her great "Outfit with a Past" weekly feature. Of course I said yes; my closet is filled with items that have memories clinging to them. Sure, I could have chosen something a little less embarrassing. But I didn't.

I love old clothes, it's difficult when you need to throw some out.
Heading over now...I just know it would be good!
Lisa, I loved that story and that embroidery is insane! Why do I keep forgetting to talk with you about your art whenever I see you?? Must be all the turkeys and gingerbread... Next time!

I think you wore your lace blouse with style, elegance and confidence.
Your embroidered art is a beautiful memory of a special time for you.
You are always original and full of surprises and we thank you for sharing this great moment in time with us.
You were IT Lisa! You couldn't have reperesented that era in a more 'classy' or perfect way, loved the bike shorts...we were all so creative with our apparel then weren't we?!
Such a fun trip back to the 90's with you!

Ahh, I like this idea. I still have the dress I wore when I first met my husband-to-be (21 years ago), the dress we wore on our first date (ditto), and, of course, my wedding le smoking.
Lisa, thanks again for participating. Absolutely loved all of it.
You do know that it isn't the style of the blouse or glasses so much as the harsh lighting and unprepared presentation that determine our reaction to your photo statement! We have all come to expect perfect lighting and composition to surround beauty and when not the case, we become totally distracted by and absolutely influenced by the unintended. Put this same blouse and glasses on you in softer lighting with complimentary colors and I am sure whimsical Style would find you! And I think your fiberart is glorious . . . of course!!
I loved it!
