I love your blog, you and your family are such an inspiration. Your picks in this article are wonderful, I especially adore the kitchen towels, though, as someone who has worked with antique textiles I would plead with anyone not to actually consider wearing the linen smocks! They are wonderful pieces, but 150 year old fibers simply wont hold up to modern wear. They are wonderful piece of handwork, not seen in even the top clothiers today, so purchase one to admire as a piece of art, not as a clothing item. I'll step off my soapbox for the day! Once again, your blog is a breath of fresh air, and I await the next installment.
Great piece Lisa! Lamps, I must say, are a bit difficult for me but you've picked a sure thing there! I love circa lighting but I've never spotted that beauty. Love the vintage oil drilling reference--a bit LA Confidential or CHinatown, no?
Wow, am loving the stone poufs, I would love a few of those amongst the blue bells, in the dingly dell at the bottom of my garden, I bet they would raise a few eyebrows.

Oh white shirts white shirts! I'll be wearing one to the grave! They almost make my brow as damp as when reading "Women in Love."

I love the bag, it is so chic!! And the shirts!!! I have one which belonged to my great grandfather and use it in summer. It has got gorgeous embroideries of miniscules roses next to his initials. And its cotton has got the softest feel. I also keep the shirt my great grandmother used for her coiffure. The lace and the embroidery is truly incredible.....and it was just for brushing her hair!!!. Nothing can beat antique textile works indeed.
I would literally wear one of those smocks to death, and I'm sure it would only look & feel better every day ... what a perfect Valentine's Day gift they would be ... I wonder how I drop hints on that one. Excellent find. Must have one, or three.
