I can usually be found here for at least some part of the day, along with our kittens Twiglet and Fellini who have adopted it as their between-meal haunt, and my rambunctious seven year old who is apparently conducting a long-term study on fabric wear and tear.
This is what I ended up doing. The wallpaper is "Thistle" from Edinburgh-based design firm Timorous Beasties and the red tartan fabric I found at F&S Fabrics here in Los Angeles. To me, it's pastoral with a punk edge.

Lisa....Rambunctious seven year olds are fine as long as they don't have a permanent marker in their hand!! I had to learn that the hard way.

They are often described as “William Morris on acid. I pop in to their shop as often as I can - a visual treat every time!
Okay, I'm soo jealous that you can go visit Timorous Beasties whenever you like. I pore over their website constantly. I'm obsessed with their "London" toile!

ReplyDeleteLike the London version it reveals a contemporary Glasgow where prostitutes are depicted against dilapidated tower blocks and scavenging seagulls.
I think it would make a great conversation piece and give guests something to look at in the loo!
